PopTarts, the breakfast pastry that I grew up with, almost a definition of childhood, innocence, and purity is now an advertisement whore.
Why?
Because they're music in their newest commercial is "I'm too sexy". What child needs to hear this? What parent wants their child to eat a pastry with that theme song? Isn't it promoting all the wrong things? No wonder we have shows like 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom. The media is now drilling it into our heads to be "sexy and know it"(see the new M&M commercial) even at early adolescence.
My kids will never watch TV
